From Rain Gardens to Green Roofs – Swedish Green Infrastructure in Action
To see urban green infrastructure in action a visit to the Swedish Green Roof Institute in Malmö Sweden is a must. The institute is also home to the Scandinavian Green Roof Association. The Institute organises courses and tours of green roofs in Southern Sweden and has been instrumental in helping green roofs to evolve across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and in the last few years Finland.
The Institute is not only home to green roofs. The complex that houses the institution is also home to a world renowned SUDS scheme at ground level. Integrating sustainable landscaping across all levels of the built environment.
