How does that tie in with Green Roofs?

Over 20 years ago ABG utilised its own product development facility to create a range of geocomposite drainage systems specifically tailored for use in Green Roofs.

Over the past 2 decades we have supplied a wide range of projects throughout the UK, mainland Europe and the rest of the world. Projects range from a 50m² Extensive Green Roof on a private garage in Wakefield to a 35,000m² Intensive Green roof in Hong Kong.

• Drainage specialists

Ensuring the right drainage system is in place from the outset can be the difference between the success and failure of the project. A lack of rainwater retention or over saturation due to an inadequate drainage layer can lead to the plants and vegetation dying off. ABG has the expertise to assist in ensuring the correct system is used.

• UK Manufacturer

ABG's green roof drainage products are manufactured in the UK from recycled polymers. Additional components which make up the ABG system such as the sedum blankets and substrate are also sourced from UK suppliers, thus helping minimize the carbon footprint of the building.

• Bespoke systems

We look at each project on an individual basis as opposed to a 'one system fits all' approach. This helps us put together a bespoke system to meet the needs of the client from a structural, biodiverse and cost perspective.
