Green Roof Training Liverpool and Essex

There are two green roof courses in June and July run by Green roof training, Livingroofs.org and RESET development.

The courses cover everything you need to know to build your own green roof and the course in Liverpool on June 18th/19th is a two day event that includes seminars on green roofs, benefits, green walls and ecosystems services.

The course will be run by Gary Grant of the Green Roof Consultancy and John Little of Greenroofshelters and Grassroofcompany. John was instrumental in the design of the Green roof Home Office in Dr. Nigel Dunnetts New Wild Garden Silver Gilt winning garden at the Chelsea Flower show. He has been building small scale green roofs for over fifteen years and is one of the authors of both the DIY Guide To Green Roofs and 'Small green roofs - low impact solutions for green living' published by Timberpress

 

Participants get a free copy of the guide as part of the course fee and hopefully copies of the new Timberpress book will be available at a discounted price.

Gary Grant is an ecologist, masterplanner, green roof and wall designer. He is also an author, hisbooks include the BRE's Green Roofs and Facades'

 The ever popular day course at John Little's house is a packed day of short seminars and practical workshops. The course also includes a tour of local green roofs constructed over the last 10 years.

The course is run by John Little and Dusty Gedge - and is focussed on the small scale green roof, whether it be on a shed, an extension, a summer house, a garage or an outdoor classroom.

A free cd of the DIY Green Roof Guide is included in the course and the Small scale Green Roofs - low impact solutions for green living' will be available at a discounted price and signed by both John and Dusty, who were two of the authors.
