Comments

This was an unusual request from the client and architect which gave the contractor a number of challenges.

The use of irrigation for a Sedum roof was in itself unusual, but the pitch of the roof meant that very little water would be held in the reservoir trays, which in turn would give rise to a much drier substrate. Incorporating a controlled irrigation system allowed the plants to receive a dosed water supply to “top” up what was already being held within the substrate.
