The specification required a vapour barrier fully bonded to the metal deck, PIR flatboard insulation bonded in hot bitumen, a partially bonded elastomeric underlay and a root resistant capping sheet.

Bauders XF 301 Sedum combination blanket with integral moisture retention fleece was then laid.  A slow release fertiliser was then applied and a ‘leaky pipe’ irrigation system installed.

Comments

This project was the first Local Authority Green Roof in West Sussex.
