University Campus Suffolk, Waterfront Building is the first landmark to be constructed on Ipswich Quay within 2008. It is a joint venture between the University of East Anglia and the University of Essex, with an initiative aimed at improving accessibility to tertiary education within the county. The Waterfront Building, phase one of the proposed University site, is a £20 million project that has set the standard for the rest of the campus to aspire to. |

Reason for Green Roof |
Following a competitive interview process under the OGC Framework with Turner and Townsend the Architects, RMJM were appointed as master-planners and designers and were given the brief to design a building with a focus on innovative, bold, flexible, integration, impact and sustainability. |
