Reason for Green Roof

A Green roof was specified as it provided an environmentally friendly solution and is part of a major £21 million Torquay waterfront regeneration, designed to revitalise the waterfront and harbour area.

The extensive green roof was installed on a sloping roof, the build green roof system build up comprised the following:

Hydrotech was specified as the waterproof membrane due to its extreme durability and longevity. Upon this was a Hydrogard root barrier Zinco, SSM 45 moisture retention and protection mat, Floradrain FD25 Drainage element finished with a pre-cultivated sedum carpet finish.
