GreenGrid^® - The Modular Green Roof System

Trelleborg's GreenGrid^® Modular Green Roof System enables the benefits of green roofs to be gained while avoiding the hurdles that can occur with traditional green roof systems. Its flexible modular design allows a green roof to be grown off-site and installed directly on top of almost any roof surface by the roofing contractor, enabling an instant green roof to be quickly and easily created amidst the hub of city life.

Designed by engineering, roofing and horticultural experts, GreenGrid^®'s pre-planted modular design enables a green roof to be grown off-site and installed directly on top of the roof membrane with ease and simplicity when the building is ready, enabling a fully established green roof to be instantly achieved. Trelleborg's Ecoseal Environmentally Sustainable Single Ply Roofing Membrane provides the ideal roof surface on which to install the modular green roof system, although GreenGrid® can be installed on almost any roofing system by the roofing contractor.

Unlike traditional green roofs, the flexible nature of GreenGrid® enables the roof garden to be designed to suit the budget of the client, and re-arranged or redesigned to incorporate additional planting areas to meet the evolving needs of the client, with both Intensive and Extensive landscapes easily achievable. Roof maintenance and repair is simple due to the light weight and flexibility of the GreenGrid® modules, allowing the contractor to simply lift off the modules to access any areas of maintenance required on the waterproofing below.

Additional elements such as drip irrigation systems and water features are also available with GreenGrid^® to enhance the benefits and aesthetic appeal of the green roof, and as with all of our systems, full technical advice and support is provided from conception to completion of the project.
